Congratulation to Max Murphy, a member of our team who just had a beautiful baby girl.
Cloud computing is an old ideal that has it roots in the 1960's started with John McCarthy. Cloud computing really started taking root in the 21st century, with companies that saw the great potential in developing applications in the cloud
Cloud computing comes into focus only when you think about what IT always needs: a way to increase capacity or add capabilities on the fly without investing in new infrastructure, training new personnel, or licensing new software.
Wikipedia describes Cloud computing as:
"The cloud is a metaphor for the Internet and is an abstraction for the complex infrastructure it conceals. It is a style of computing where IT-related capabilities are provided "as a service“, allowing users to access technology-enabled services from the internet ("in the cloud") without knowledge of, expertise with, or control over the technology infrastructure that supports them."
At ESPN we embrace cloud computing,, and I believe that cloud computing and Saas (Software as a service) will continue to expand far into the future.
I just learned one of my favorite childhood games, Mario Paint, is being released for the DS:
Mario Paint Composer Homebrew For The Nintendo DS
Between the composer game and the fly swatter game (and the fact that you played with a friggin mouse), I spent hours upon hours of my life playing this.

Welp, we're down here in Anaheim with our ELC peeps learning all about eXtreme Programming and project management. We're hoping to improve the workflow of our group, focusing on how to deal with the myriad projects we're responsible for. And we're having dinner at the Pirates of the Caribbean ride restaurant, which everyone (especially Ed) is super pumped about. We heart Disney.
Just a test

Our comrade in Dodger Blue, Jorge, the "oh, come on", Mir is now married.
He decided marriage and a honeymoon were more important than getting anything done at work, so we'll miss him while he indulges in the delicacies of Hawaii.
I don't want to still his thunder so check out his site for updates, photos and everything else mir-lated.
Thanks for making us a part of you special day Jorge and Jenn
